Gallery Nanac Jingdezhen, China
Look at the larva on the leaf.
Look how glad it is.
It only sees green.
It only sees leaves.
And It loves to eat leaves.
The larva has no interest in flying.
But If it keeps on eating like this,
flying is inevitable.
The larva only hears the crunching of its own jaws.
It is only when the jaws grow tired that the larva hears the voice of the wings.
The wings have a voice of their own.
You can only ignore them for so long.
When you refuse their advice,
things go wrong.
The wings see further.
they have bigger eyes.
They have different senses.
their color palette is larger.
They see the flower
and the leaves.
They have a character of their own.
They have goals of their own.
The larva never ever flies.
It is the wings that carry it along.
The larva can fight its new fate
or be happily carried along.
“the leaves were about to be sprayed
with pesticides anyway.”
The butterfly thinks.
